I get asked the same question alot, “how can you be a pharmcist and a naturopath?” Frankly i don’t see the conflict.
After years of working in hospitals and retail pharmacy settings it became obvious that our standard of care is not set up to keep people healthy. Pharmacy is all about disease management not health. Now don’t get me wrong – there is a time and place for our prescription drugs, but they work best when we are sick. Therein lies the dilemma. Who wants to be sick? Given a choice, none of us do. Working with natural therapies I am able to address a proactive plan to improve or maintain HEALTH with my clients. Natural health is also a process. It’s daily choices not a pill. Living as free from chemicals, eating whole, organic foods, and lots of exercise are the foundation we build on. Unfortunately in our very polluted world with a food supply that is subjected to pesticides and genetic modification, this is no easy task. I spend considerable time finding the best nutrition, supplements and essentials oils to use for purity and potency. (Glad I have that pharmacy back ground) The good news is there are outstanding products available to support a healthy lifestyle. You can click on my virtual supplement store, Healthwave or the essential oils website for the highest quality support in natural products.
