Foods that kill the pain

Everyone feels some aches and pains sometime but did you know that there are foods that can  help relieve pain.  You see they also contain salicyclic acid, the compound in aspirin.  So, when you need some help give some of these a try:

apples                                                      raspberries

avocados                                                 spinach

blueberries                                             zucchini

cauliflower                                             plums

cherries                                                   peaches

cucumbers

And for some added help make my special recipe for even more help: Mix theese Doterra essential oils:

Copaiba

Marjoram

Rosemary

Frankincense

Choosing to use natural remedies opens so many choices for our health and wellbeing.  These are some of chemical-free favorites and should be in everyone’s medicine cabinet.

For Pain issues and  help with inflammation.

Turmeric capsules

Sleep issues: to help calm and relax

Wounds, scraps and burns:

Here’s what you’re going to need:
½ cup of aloe vera juice
• 25 drops lavender essential oil
• 25 drops melaleuca essential oil
• 4oz squeeze bottle

Doterra Lavender essential oil is also great for burns and bug bites

Vitamin D -optimizes healing

 

Teeth and gums:

Salt is a highly useful home remedy for cavities due to its high levels of anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties. Salt will allow for the pain and inflammation to be reduced.

Doterra Melaleuca essential oil – rub around gums to kill germs

On Guard toothpaste –great tasting and contains clove oil.  Cloves are one of the most vital ingredients in fighting cavities naturally. Due to the high properties of anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and analgesic properties, clove can help to soothe any pain caused by the cavity.

 

Stomach Issues

Activated charcoal – fast and effective to stop diarrhea or food poisoning.

Pb assist by Doterra is enteric coated probiotic.   Therefore, it’s not destroyed in the stomach as many probiotics are.

Digestive enzymes – breakdown the food to prevent reflux and gas.

DigestZen by Doterra –  super fast, rub over abdominal area or throat to stop discomfort.

 

As you can see, I use essential oils for many health issues and I chose Doterra because they are chemically pure and therapeutic in effect.  Not all products can be taken internally so you need to be very careful to buy only quality products.

I feel the pain but I am not one to suffer!

I have a great group of friends in the neighborhood and we get together to exercise  a couple of times a week.   Well we started yoga this week and I love it but I have to admit it but I am feeling muscles I had forgotten about.   All this driving and sitting at a computer that is part of my routine really puts strain on the lower back and I can feel the pain when I start stretching.   Goes to show  I much I need it.  But I am not one to suffer!

There are some wonderful natural remedies that stop inflammation in it’s tracks.  After all by the time you feel the pain you have some serious inflammation.   And that leads to more injury.

Happy 4th of July!

This is an amazing weekend.  The sun is out and we are celebrating all over America our Independence!  That always comes with lots of food and outdoor fun.  Make this delicious and fun dish to share with your family.  Lots of fresh berries and a fresh new twist on those coated pretzels everyone loves.

Wild Orange Pretzels:

24 oz. of pretzels

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. Combine the sugar, yogurt, protein powder, and Wild Orange essential oil.
  3. Dip the pretzels into the yogurt mixture one at a time, using chopsticks or tongs.
  4. Arrange the coated pretzels on a wire cooking rack with a baking sheet underneath it.
  5. Turn the oven off and put in the wire rack and baking sheet.
  6. Leave the oven door slightly ajar.
  7. After several hours, when the coating is hardened and set, take the pretzels out of the oven.

The Rules Of Weight Loss Have Changed

  • Use avocado instead of mayonnaise on your sandwich

  • Snack on nut butter like pumpkin, sesame, cashew, and almond
  • Experiment with hemp or flax oil on salads

Just remember all fats can turn rancid so handle them with TLC, refrigerate and store in a dark container.   Also banish all fake fats!  They inhibit metabolism, reduce thyroid function, and promote inflammation.  These types are fats are hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated, like margarine, shortening, soybean, cottonseed, canola, vegetable oils and cooking sprays.

Balance Your Hormones with nature

clary sageI have been very focused on helping women with hormone imbalances lately.  So I thought I would pass along a few tips for you ladies in the perimenopausal years late 30’s to 50’s.  Symptoms come from a variety of imbalances but here are just a few essential oils that really support balance, moods and sleep.

The first work horse is clary sage. Clary Sage is known for its calming properties and benefits to the skin. The main chemical component of Clary Sage is linalyl acetate, part of the esters group, making it one of the most relaxing, soothing, and balancing essential oils. In the Middle Ages, the Clary Sage plant was frequently used to soothe skin. Inhaling Clary Sage promotes feelings of relaxation, allowing for a restful night’s sleep.

Thyme oils is another favorite to improve the body due to it purifying and cleansing properties.  When the organs and systems are cleansed and functioning efficiently the hormones they produce are in better balance and improving hormone usage.

Another essential oil to grab is basil.
